Hydro66 augment their network capability in Northern Europe with the commissioning of a new network Point of Presence in Stockholm. Full range of Internet, public cloud and telco connectivity options to all major European exchanges and brings hyperscale economics to global audience.
Hydro66 has brought into service a dedicated network facility in Stockholm. The new point of presence (PoP) is part of the company’s ongoing strategy to ensure global reach for colocation and cloud customers at its award-winning data center in Boden, Sweden.
This new PoP makes adding direct public cloud connections to Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and CityCloud simple and fast for Enterprise clients. National and international customers can optimise between multiple carrier options, managing their own infrastructure in colocation and with public cloud access. Hydro66 IP transit customers will also benefit from new direct connections to Tier 1 Internet service providers such as Telia Carrier and Netnod Stockholm, the largest Internet Exchange (IX) in the Nordics.
Christiaan Keet, CTO Hydro66 commented: ”Our hybrid cloud customers want direct access to the widest possible range of service providers including public cloud fabrics and international carriers. By offering connectivity on our own network from Stockholm to our hyperscale data center in Boden we can meet their needs for economically viable hosting and competitive connectivity at European standard rates without compromise.”
Additionally, the new network node extends the capability of compute and store at scale to a global audience by making it simple and easy to connect to the Hydro66 hyperscale data center from any other data center or customer premise globally.
Peder Bank, Managing Director Nordics at Interxion commented, “As a leading European provider of colocation and interconnection solutions, Interxion is proud to enable Hydro66 and their customers to seamlessly connect to our robust and growing universe of cloud platforms, connectivity providers and Connected Communities. I am happy Hydro66 have chosen our Stockholm data center as base for their strategic network PoP, extending the breadth of cloud services available at Interxion to the North of Sweden”.
This development signals further commitment to the Nordic Super Cloud region by Hydro66 and is in line with its strategy of providing financially and environmentally sustainable solutions for companies looking to enhance their IT capability and reduce their economic and carbon footprints. Hydro66 has long term plans for the region and will continue to expand the range of colocation, hosting and cloud services available to its growing customer base.
Magnus Nilsson, Sales Director Hydro66 commented, “From a business growth perspective this is really great news for current and future customers and cloud partners in the Nordics. They are already benefiting from our winning combination of flexible efficient colocation and hosting and close to net zero CO2 overhead. This new PoP means even more connectivity options with lower latency to all major European cities. Together H66 and our clients are ready for fast growth in a dynamic multi cloud world.”
